  • CBD Design Update

The CBD Design is continuing to develop with our design consultants coordinating the complex network of services, approvals and design decisions that are required to deliver a long lasting and carefully constructed CBD.

The CBD Design now includes Tantitha Street, undergrounding overhead electricity and a two way traffic option for Barolin Street between Quay and Bourbong Streets.

As the design has progressed there has been a range of ways for the community and traders to get involved, presently you can view the plans under the Document Library to the right and email any comments to us at consultation@bundaberg.qld.gov.au

  • What did you tell us?

With over 400 people participating in some kind of engagement to date we have been working through the findings to provide a key summary that will help shape the project moving forward. Check out the forum below for a snapshot that you can feedback to us on.

We were delighted with community, trader and stakeholder comments at the workshops and on the street. It is very clear that you care about the CBD and are invested with us in designing and delivering a refreshed heart for the city.

Over 400 people contributed to either a care Factor or PX Assessment survey over the last 3 weeks - this provides us with an unprecedented, data-driven foundation for the CBD revitalisation project. In addition, we estimated that we spoke with over 100 people at the trader workshops, stakeholder meeting and street pop-ups. Your input is valuable to us and we are working on how together we ensure the CBD is great for everyone in the future.
